ABOUT US
Dat Gallery is a family-owned business run by Terry and Tasha Dat. Together, with their family, they have curated a collection of art that is both inspiring and eye-catching.
A CREATIVE HAVEN
DAT Gallery is a sanctuary where art transcends boundaries and becomes accessible to everyone.
The Dat Galleries are where art enthusiasts of all vocations, ethnicities, and backgrounds can come together to find common ground in appreciating truly exceptional artwork. The vision started with the opening of the very first gallery in 2019, Art Central Galleria. Art Central Galleria quickly became a hub for local artists to showcase their art and initiate discussions over the importance of art in modern society. That was over 6 years ago now and given the massive success of the first opening, the galleries have expanded to include Onyx Gallery, which opened earlier this year. The Dat Galleries specialize in pop art and contemporary art, showcasing the most iconic up and coming artists of the century. The galleries aim to source works that are unique by artists whose personal experiences shape their artistic styles. The Dat Galleries embody the firm belief that art is a cornerstone of culture and creativity.

MEET THE FAMILY
Dat Gallery is run by Terry and Tasha Dat, and all of their kids. A total family affair.
TERRY & TASHA DAT
Terry and Tasha’s story together began over 30 years ago when they fell in love during their morning commutes to work on the subway. Between the two of them, they have over 55 years of experience in sales and operations in a variety of industries including retail and antiques. As partners, they have always been inseparable since those early morning commutes, but they always envisioned being partners professionally and dreamt of owning an art gallery someday. When the opportunity arose where dreams could become reality, they didn’t hesitate and got started on building the foundation for the Dat Galleries. Terry’s salesmanship is unparalleled in the art industry; he has clients worldwide that rely on him to source pieces that fit their tastes and space. Similarly, Tasha’s operational efficiency is unmatched. As co-founders they are extremely hands-on and make sure they are involved in every single aspect of the business from sourcing artists to finding the frames that bring each piece of artwork to life. Together they are a force to be reckoned with and have had a tremendous impact on the art scene in NYC in the few years that they began the gallery.
